Maxie is the head of Team Magma. He is the only character in the games to have the Trainer classes Magma Leader and Team Magma.
As the opening of the third saga suggests that he is one of the new villains to appear as he was mentioned by the President of the Hoenn Region that he is a very sinister man, but considered very gentleman-like and anything red, because of the legendary Pokemon, Groudon, a menacing titan that wasn't meant to be disturbed until the situation calls it. And when first meeting Maxie, he was told by Ash that he lives in Pallet Town, but he acted impressed that he was from a normal land, but a man (even though that he is ten years old) of quality.
And he will be voiced by Christopher Corey Smith in the English dub and reprised by Seiji Sasaki in the Japanese dub.
