Batty Koda is the deuteragonist of the FernGully franchise. He’s a fruit bat who is one of Crysta's best friends. Batty Koda is a mentally unstable fruit bat and an escapee from a biology lab, where he was the subject of various experiments. Despite the horrific and unhealthy nature of his time in the lab, Batty is dissonantly comedic in nature, which is only exemplified by an antennae infused into his head that gives him the ability to reenact any television programming the antennae receives.
And he is reprised by Matthew Kermit Miller in the English dub, as a tribute for Robin Williams in the English dub and Ryusei Nakao in the Japanese dub.
